This week, I trained with the scarves successfully and was able to reach my goal of ten seconds. I switched back to juggling balls to see if I can achieve my Genius Hour goal. Unfortunately, I was not able to achieve ten seconds but I found my overall skill improved. The fluency of my form and hands were slowly coming together. More research and focus is needed to achieve my goal. If I can add a few more seconds to the total juggle time, I will achieve my goal. I will strive for a further time and see how far I can push myself and my project. Questions I ponder: Would different weighted balls help with learning?

This week, I analyzed videos of jugglers, and started to mimic and practice on my own. I am practicing with scarves as this is an easier alternative to juggling balls straight away. I am grasping an understanding of the form and hand coordination. I learned that juggling revolves around patience and timing alot, and internalizing a constant rhythm. I need to continue to practice with the scarves so I can eventually switch back to juggling balls.

Week 1, the Research

My goals this week are to attempt to juggle, and to research technique. I attempted to juggle but I was not so successful. I have been reviewing an hour worth of videos on how to juggle since the failed practice. The technique, and form I have studied will be put into action in my training next week. I will measure my success depending on how long I can keep the balls juggled in the air.
